Our Story
Two people. One strange brand.
Don’t Look traces its creative roots to 2018, when siblings Cory and Melissa began exploring a childhood dream of making games. The name came from something their Uncle John often said: “If you don’t like it, don’t look at it.” Melissa created the Blindfolded Skull logo that has followed the brand through every version of itself.
Melissa Rooker / Elusive Girl is the Founder of Don’t Look. She leads the brand’s creative direction, original artwork, product development, presentation, merchandise, and future creative operations.
Cory Rooker / AlternateCory leads platforms, technology, infrastructure, operations, and business administration.
Melissa and Cory are equal members and co-managers of Don’t Look Holdings LLC, a North Carolina company formed on July 22, 2026. Holdings operates the commerce business and is the intended long-term home of the core Don’t Look brand and intellectual property as formal assignments are completed.
Don’t Look Studios is the planned future home for the brand’s creative and media work. It is not currently a separately formed legal company.
Today Don’t Look brings together original art, apparel, photography, video, film, music, writing, games, and the systems behind the work—with roots in North Carolina and Misawa, Japan.
